Life is a gift that we all take for granted, until one day….something happens, and it does happen to each and every one of us! Everyone of us goes through life’s victories and tragedies, but it’s how we go through them that makes all the difference. My husband has ALS, confined to a wheelchair. He has the ability to communicate by blinking his eyes. I started photographing images so that he could see all things I saw on my morning walks with Winston, shown below. What I started for him, turned into something even bigger for me. Photography opened my eyes to the world around me. I have always loved traveling, but that is not possible very often any more. I found traveling to beautiful sights could mean walking out my backdoor. I discovered exquisite beauty staring at me through my lens. I found the world around me, I am forever grateful. I feel alive. No matter the circumstance, every moment we have is worth living, make the most of every moment.
